What We're Doing to Improve Accessibility
Service Cops Group takes a structured and ongoing approach to improving accessibility across our digital platforms. We strive to meet WCAG 2.2 accessibility requirements by embedding accessibility considerations directly into our website and platform development processes. This includes the use of ARIA roles and attributes to support screen reader users, with continuous refinement as standards and technologies evolve, as well as the provision of descriptive alternative text for all meaningful images while ensuring decorative images are appropriately marked. Video content across our platforms is supported with captions and transcripts, and keyboard navigation is enabled for primary user journeys and critical functions to ensure inclusive access.
Accessibility testing and validation form a core part of our development workflow. Our platforms are tested using a range of assistive technologies and browser combinations, including JAWS with Chrome, NVDA with Firefox, VoiceOver with Safari, TalkBack with Samsung Chrome, and VoiceOver on iPhone Safari. This multi-environment testing approach helps us identify and address accessibility issues across different devices and user contexts.
Beyond initial testing, we maintain a continuous monitoring process to identify accessibility issues over time. Potential concerns are logged, assessed, and prioritised based on their impact and criticality, with remediation addressed through regular development cycles to ensure steady improvement without disrupting platform stability.
We also invest in people and capability development to sustain accessibility over the long term. Our content authoring community receives ongoing training on accessibility best practices, supported by practical resources to guide accessible content creation. Content authors are further supported with access to accessibility reports, enabling continuous review and improvement as content and platforms evolve.
Known Limitations
We are aware of certain accessibility limitations within our digital ecosystem and are actively working to address them. Some legacy PDF documents may not yet be fully accessible, certain third-party embedded content may not meet all accessibility standards, and a number of complex data visualisations may currently offer limited support for screen readers. We are taking deliberate steps to remediate these gaps as part of our ongoing commitment to inclusive and accessible digital experiences.
